Cylinder emptying tools are specialized devices used to safely remove any remaining gas from a cylinder before shipping or disposal. These tools ensure that cylinders comply with legal regulations, which often require them to be completely empty before transport or disposal to prevent leaks, accidents, or environmental hazards.
Devalving involves removing the cylinder valve after it has been emptied. This is often done when preparing a cylinder for scrapping, requalification, or refurbishment. Simply removing the valve without properly venting the gas can be dangerous. That’s why proper emptying tools should be used first.
